6.4 Inserting XHTML code in DW MX

From the "Text" tab in the "Insert" toolbar at the top of the DW MX window there are several selections for formatting in line text.

To maintain the validity at the level of XHTML 1.1 with CSS2, almost all the definitions are in the CSS with just a few exceptions.

Those that can be used are:

S- places <strong></strong> around the selected text to provide bold, and should be used instead of "B".

em- places <em></em> around the selected text to provide italics, and should be used instead of "I".

The next section of the "Text" toolbar inserts paragraph (for a paragraph), blockquote (for quoted text) or pre (for pre-formatted text) around the selected text (or will insert the tag with a temporary &nbsp to avoid creating an empty tag).

The next sections of the "Text" toolbar will insert h1, h2, h3 (heading tags), ul (unordered list), ol (ordered list), li (list include to go in ul or ol), dl (definition list), dt (definition term), dd (definition description), abbr. (abbreviation), or W3C (acronym) around the selected text, (or will insert the tag with a temporary &nbsp to avoid creating an empty tag).
